SOCOM 3 PSP finished, deploys Feb. 16

When SOCOM: US Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 3 for the PSP was delayed from its original pre-Thanksgiving release window, Sony pushed the game to January 12 to "allow time to get the word out to everyone." It appears not everyone has received the message yet.

Bravo, Bravo! What's your vector, Victor?

Sony today pushed the game back once more. Instead of launching next week, Fireteam Bravo 3 will debut on store shelves and in downloadable form on the PlayStation Store starting February 16. This should be the last delay for the game, as Sony also announced today that Fireteam Bravo 3 has gone gold in North America.

Developed by Slant Six, the studio behind last year's tepidly received SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation, Fireteam Bravo 3 will differ from its forebears on several fronts. Plotwise, players will be charged with infiltrating the underground of former Special Ops soldiers turned mercenaries. Specifically, players will be tasked with locating an ex-KGB agent with knowledge of an upcoming terrorist WMD attack.

As outlined in GameSpot's GamesCom preview, SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo 3 will feature an expansive multiplayer component, with the entire campaign being playable in co-op in either ad hoc or infrastructure mode. The game will also feature reworked graphics and controls, as well as other in-game improvements, such as health regeneration and a new cover system.
